Digital Signal Processing Engineer

PreTalen provides expert systems engineering support for space, navigation, electronic warfare, and cybersecurity. We are seeking highly motivated individuals dedicated to solving the full spectrum of signal processing challenges. At PreTalen, our DSP Engineers are challenged with analyzing advanced communication systems, reverse engineering complex signals, and developing software tools and solutions as part of our cyber research team. Our engineers work in a cross-discipline environment: Often tasks will blend together with hardware & software reverse engineering, Position Navigation and Timing (PNT), and with heavily network driven systems.

 

Responsibilities

  • Ability to work in a team environment with engineers from different groups to accomplish a common goal 

  • Full stack development, front-end (User interface), back-end, network layer, and physical layer development 

  • Ability to draw from various knowledge bases and resources to solve complex problems

  • Processing digital signals using SDR technologies

  • Development of DSP algorithms in C or Python programming languages

  • Use of Linux based SDK's and DSP frameworks (i.e. GnuRadio)

  • Embedded DSP circuit design and reverse engineering

  • Engineering wireless technologies and systems

  • Technical writing is a plus

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or 3 years experience in a DSP related field

  • C/C++ or Python development experience

  • Ability to work with Linux based operating systems

  • Experience using SDR peripherals (i.e. USRP, HackRF)

  • HARDWARE (knowledge of working with):
    SDR Software Defined Radio
